Frances Elizabeth Lane was born in 1821 to Judge Ebenezer Lane and his wife, the former Marion Griswold. She married Alfred Chesebrough on May 9, 1842 in Huron County, Ohio. Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Lane Chesebrough passed away in Detroit, Michigan in April of 1896. Her remains were brought to Sandusky, Ohio, where she was buried next to her husband in the Lane family lot at Oakland Cemetery.
