George Henry Schumacher
George Henry Schumacher was born in Walldorf, Germany on December 31, 1832. By 1867, Mr. Schumacher was residing on Perry Street in Sandusky. His name was listed as Henry Shoemaker in the 1867 Sandusky City Directory. By the time of the 1880 U.S. Census, George Schumacher was living in Sandusky, along with his mother, wife, and six children, ranging in age from infancy to age 21. George was working as a carpenter. George Henry Schumacher died on January 21, 1890, at his home at 411 Perry Street. Funeral services for Mr. Schumacher were held at the German Reformed Church in Sandusky, and burial was at Oakland Cemetery.

Pearl Rowe, 1879-1930
Pearl Schumacher was born on May 1, 1879 to George Schumacher, and his wife, the former Julia Schuck, in Erie County, Ohio. The family resided on Tiffin Avenue in Sandusky's 5th Ward. In June, 1901, Pearl Mary Schumacher married Richard Rowe in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. On October 3, 1930, Mrs. Pearl M. Rowe died at her sister's home. She was survived by three sisters and one brother. Pearl M. Rowe was buried at Oakland Cemetery in Sandusky, Ohio in the Schumacher family lot.
