Abishai W. Walter is buried in Strong's Ridge Cemetery in Huron County, Ohio. He was a soldier in Company B of the 123rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Walter died on June 24, 1863 from wounds he received in battle at Winchester, Virginia on June 13, 1863. He was only 25 years of age.
