While browsing through the
Interent Archive, I found a poem written about a cemetery in the book
Verses, by Mary Katherine Clark. The book was published in 1900, by the
Register Press of Sandusky, Ohio. The poem is entitled "The City of the Dead."
The poetic view of those who lie in rest in cemeteries evokes images of peace and calm, as the poetess considers the individuals in the cemetery to be those who are sleeping.

How appropriate that the first line referenced the Sabbath, too. It was a soothing and peaceful poem, Dorene.
