Funeral services for Julia Orshoski were held at the Orshoski residence in Bay Bridge at 8:30 a.m. on May 15, with another service held at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 9:30. Father F. A. Boehnlein officiated. While the May 15, 1919 issue of the Sandusky Register reported that burial was to be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sandusky, it turned out that Mrs. Joseph Orshoski was buried at the Castalia Cemetery.
The family story that was passed down is that after Mrs. Julia Orshoski died, Joseph Orshoski said to his family back in Hungary, "Send me a new wife, one named Julia." And, in keeping with his wishes, a new wife was found. Julianna Szomolya came to the United States on September 30, 1921. Joseph and the second Julia Orshoski were married for over fifty years. A great greatgrandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Orshoski is also named Julia Orshoski.
