Mr. Hart had been ill for a time and Mrs. Hart had gotten run down nursing him. He died of his illness and she died of pnuemonia. What a sad time for that family. She never cared what you looked like or wore, she just liked to share her cooking with everyone. She's definitely missed every single day, and especially this time of year, which was one of her favorites. Thanks for sharing, I'm sure you have a ton of memories from over the years! I pray every day she watches over my kids/grandkids and my dad and we know she's around and sending messages to us. I am one of three sons (James, Robert and Paul) of Frederick Tight, the second son of Fred and Louise. I can fill in a little detail on the two daughters of Fred and Louise. Ant Mary moved to California with her husband and three children in the late 60's. I was fortunate to have been able to visit with Mary and her family in May of 1973. Mary passed away from cancer two years later in July of 1975. My father and I were hunting in Pennsylvania in 1987 when we received word of Aunt Thelma's passing. We cut short our trip and returned to attend her funeral. Once more, accept my appreciation for all your efforts. /Paul TightPaul Tighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16830630462525666609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657901541325041898.post-91440303043795788882023-06-19T20:48:28.997-04:002023-06-19T20:48:28.997-04:00Fascinating research and story.Fascinating research and story.Joe Mazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06383528164935656547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657901541325041898.post-64061486206720250852023-06-19T20:44:21.942-04:002023-06-19T20:44:21.942-04:00Great post and research.Great post and research.Joe Mazzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06383528164935656547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657901541325041898.post-22651768826100098222023-04-03T22:25:20.203-04:002023-04-03T22:25:20.203-04:00Sweet Photo. A ...I am researching the wreck of the Nannie Byers. A John Quinn and his wife and two children were aboard the ship on its way from Cincinnati to St. Louis. At 2am on the 24th February 1866, it collided with the Hillman around Madison, Indiana. John and a son survived, his wife and a child died. The ship flooded quickly and many drowned. Estimates are between 10-25. Of those found and later identified, a Mary Quinn, wife of John Quinn, was removed from the wreckage on March 1. I'm thinking this is her marker.
