Ann Atwood's tombstone in Sandusky's Oakland Cemetery states that she was born in Welney, England on June 24, 1800. She died in Sandusky, Ohio on May 12, 1874. An inscription on Mrs. Atwood's stone reads:
For his mercy endureth forever
Rest in peace, Ann Atwood.
